The Challenge

Why This Program Matters

Northern Uganda's farming communities continue to face barriers to food security and sustainable livelihoods. Vulnerable households and young people may struggle with limited access to quality inputs, agricultural knowledge, markets, finance, and climate-resilient practices.

1

Limited Agricultural Knowledge: Displacement and economic disruption have affected access to agricultural extension and improved production knowledge.

Limited Inputs & Productivity: Smallholder households may lack reliable access to quality seeds, tools, technologies, and technical support.

Climate Vulnerability: Changing rainfall patterns, dry periods, and other climate pressures can affect production and household income.

Market Constraints: Farmers can face challenges accessing reliable markets, finance, information, and fair value for their produce.
